Just Add Ink has a new challenge this week. They are asking for a card with a bit of grunge. For this challenge I started with base card made from soft suede cardstock. I then cut another panel of soft suede that was 5mm smaller than the base card. This panel, I embossed with the wood grain folder. I then cut two panels of very vanilla cardstock. The first panel I stamped all over with an extreme elements stamp using soft suede ink. Then using the simply scored scoring tool, I scored a line 5mm inside from the edge all the way around. Using a craft knife I cut 3 sides and folded the panel down and then score it and then folded the panel in half so that the stamped image was showing and adhered. On the other panel I stamped a star with versamark and used early espresso embossing powder. I adhered the star panel to the base card and then adhered the grunge frame over the top. On a scrap piece of Very Vanilla I stamped another star using versamark and embossed using gold embossing powder. I trimmed the star and adhered it to the star in the frame. Off setting it so that you could see all the points. Inside the frame I added 4 circles punch out using the owl punch. I then stamped the birthday wishes sentiment using early espresso embossing powder. Using a scrap piece of soft suede I adhered a line under the sentiment and added early espresso circles created using the owl punch. I highlighted the edges of the frame and the sentiment with scraps of Early Espresso cardstock. I then stamped the edge of a very vanilla envelope with the extreme elements stamp and highlighted it with a strip of early espresso cardstock.
