At Sunny Challenges & Creations they are asking for shaped card entries. I thought I would use this challenge to give me some inspiration for my daughter’s birthday card. I used the largest 3 frames from the Label Collection framelits. The largest was used on a Whisper White base card and on a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The second largest frame was used on some Print Poetry DSP. The inner frame was the third largest and I embossed this frame with the Cloudy Day embossing folder. I then created the minion using the owl punch and one of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch set. I got the idea for the minion and balloons from Diana Gibbs. I improvised a little by changing the minion’s outfit colour, using a white gel pen to add stitching and giving him a mono eye and with the balloons, I used the retired Blossom Petal Builder punch to make the balloons. Inside the card I made a pocket for a gift card we are giving her and used the sentiment from the Tag It stamp set. To make it pop a bit. I added a Cherry Cobbler scallop trim and some small coloured dots from the owl punch. I think it makes it look very celebratory.
