Just Add Ink have a Theme Challenge this week. I decided to make a Christmas card using some of Stampin Up’s new stamps Dies, DSP and embossing powders.
Stamps: Heart of Christmas, Scentsational Seasonal Season
Paper: Whisper White, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Festival of Prints DSP Stack
Ink: Close to Cocoa (retired), Early Espresso
Accessories: Holiday Collection Framelit Die, Versa Mark, Early espresso Embossing Powder, Sugar and Spice Scented Embossing Powder, Rhinestone, Owl Punch (for small dots), dimensional, Heat Gun, Big Shot
I started with a base card made from Early Espresso cardstock. I then added a piece of Festival of Prints DSP that was slightly smaller than the base card. Next I stamped a piece of Whisper White cardstock with Versa Mark using the Heart of Christmas stamp. With some Early Espresso embossing powder and a heat gun, I embossed the sentiment on to the Whisper White cardstock. I then stamped and embossed the steam image from the Scentsational Season stampset using Close to Cocoa, Versa Mark, Sugar and Spice embossing powder and a heat gun. On a scrap piece of Whisper White, I stamped the mug image from the Scentsational Season stamp set and cut out the image with the framelit die. I adhered the cup to the Whisper White cardstock with dimensionals and then adhered the Whisper White cardstock to the base card. I finished off by adding a strip of Festival Prints DSP, a rhinestone and 4 Cherry Cobbler dots, which I punched out with the Owl punch.
Sorry the picture isn’t better, I need to learn to take photos of embossed cards 🙂
