Just Add Ink have a Colour Challenge this week. I decided to make a card and little gift bag and I thought I would play with some of my retired stamps, inks and DSP.
Stamps: Happy Moments (retired)
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pattern Pack II DSP
Ink: Going Gray (retired), Brocade Blue (retired) Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal (retired)
Accessories: Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Label Collection Die, Rhinestones, Scorepal, Ribbon, Cropadile
I started with a base card made from Basic Black cardstock. I then added a piece of Whisper White cardstock that was slight smaller than the base card. Next I added a piece of Patterns Pack II DSP (retired). With the DSP I used the colours Brocade Blue, Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal and Basic Grey as I decide to play with the colours. I then used a scrap strip of Whisper White cardstock to which I stamped happy birthday multiple times. I decided not to use the stampamajig as I wanted the words to be a little uneven. Adds a bit a character, I think. I then used the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die to cut out multiple butterflies in various colours. I cut the Black butterflies in half and used them as highlights behind the White Butterflies. I added the Butterflies to the card going from largest to smallest. To make the gift bag I used a 21cm x 27 cm Basic Black cardstock which I scored using the scorepal. I adhered the box together using sticky strip and added Patterns Pack II DSP (retired) to the flap. I trimmed the flap using a template I made with the Labels Collection framelit die. I punched two holes using the cropadile and added matching ribbon. To finish off, I added Happy Birthday stamped on the smallest of the labels created using the Labels Collection framelit die. I distressed the label by sponging and added some butterflies and a rhinestone.
