Just Add Ink have a colour Challenge this week.  For my inspiration, I used quilting as my theme.

Stamps:  Happy Moments (retired SAB set)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Elegant Soiree
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories:  1 1/4″ Square Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Owl Punch (small dots), Pearls, Glue Dots

I started with a base card made from Basic Black card stock.  I then punched out 4 Cherry Cobbler squares, 2 Elegant Soiree squares and 2 Very Vanilla squares.  I cut the Cherry Cobbler squares in half diagonally and I cut the remaining squares into quarters diagonally.

I then proceeded to mount the triangles on to a piece of Soft Suede Card stock, adhered the triangles to form a Double Pinwheel pattern.  I trimmed the Soft Suede Card stock and adhered it to the base card.

I then stamped the birthday sentiment 4 times, from the Happy Moment stamp set and added small circles that I punched out using the Owl Punch.  To finish off the card, I added two Boho Blossoms which had pearls in the centre, to the quilted pattern and adhered the sentiment below the  pattern.

I made this card  for the Scrapbook Boutique Challenge.  Scrapbook Boutique have asked for a card that has the colours white, lavender & purple on it.

I decided to be a little bit different and make a boy’s card using the colours Rich Razzleberry,  Lavender Lace, Early Espresso and Whisper White.  I started with a base card that was 14cm x 14cm.  I embossed pieces of Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso, and Lavender Lace with various embossing folders.  I then coloured a Magnolia stamped image that I got from my sister-in-law using various inks and blender pens.  Using the Little Leave die, I punched out a branch of leaves.  With the Curly Label Punch and Decoartive Label, I punched out some cardstock for the backing of the sentiment.

Just Add Ink have an interesting Challenge this week, A blog hop of Fancy Folds.  For my inspiration, I used the Diamond Fold card that was on Mae Collins website.

Stamps: Fifth Avenue, Afterthoughts (hostess set)
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Basic Black Marker, Dimensional, Swiss Dot embossing folder

I started with a base card made from Basic Black cardstock.  I followed the instructions link that was on Mae Collins website.  Once I had folded the base card.  I added strips of Cherry Cobbler cardstock the left and the right of the Diamond.  I then adhered a piece of Swiss Dot embossed cardstock to the Diamond and stamped one of the flowers from the Fifth Avenue stamp set.  I stamped the flower twice, once on Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the other on whisper White cardstock.  I then trimmed both flowers and offset the White Flower over the Cherry Cobbler flower.  I then coloured the stamens black and adhered the flower to the Diamond.

I then stamped part of the sentiment ‘for you’ from one of the from the Afterthought stamp set.  After finishing the card, I thought I could have also put the sentiment ‘Just’ in the top Left corner of the card and ‘for you’ in the lower Right corner, maybe next time.

I am going to give this card to a special friend who has been away from work for a while and she is coming back next week.
