Just Add Ink have an inspiration Challenge this week. For this Challenge I decided to make a Flower Birthday card.
I started with a Whisper White card made from the Sizzix Large Scallop circle die. I then embossed the front of the card using the Victoria embossing folder. Next I took a piece of one-sided Scrapbooking Paper and punched out 6 owls using the Owl Punch.
I then used a pattern that I came across when I was looking at LeaAnn Greff’s website. She has come up with a Dahlia fold for the Owl Punch which I thought was very clever and I have been waiting to use the idea with one of my cards. After making the flower and adhering it to the embossed card front. I adhered some of the small circles and hearts that I had punched out earlier when punching out the owls.
Next I adhered Fuchsia pearls to the centre and on the small dots. I finished off the card by stamping the birthday sentiment from the Happy Moments stamp set.
