Sketch N Stash have a new sketch Challenge. I thought that this sketch would be good for me to try out one of the stamped images that I got from my sister-in-law Anita. I started with base card made from Very Vanilla cardstock. I trimmed a piece of Marina Mist cardstock and then adhered some blue and soft cream DSP that I bought many years ago and can’t remember the name. Before adhering the Marina Mist to the base card, I used a paper piercer to punch a series of hole around the four corners. I then adhered a piece of Marina Mist satin ribbon to the centre of the card going down vertically. Next I added a strip of Marina Mist cardstock and a piece of Very Vanilla Satin ribbon.
Using a Spellbinder Fleur-De-Lis die, I punched out two circles, one from Very Vanilla cardstock and the other in Marina Mist cardstock. I adhered the two together and attached to the base card. I then coloured in the Little Dutch Girl stamped image using a series of Stampin Up Markers and blender pens. Once coloured, I trimmed the image and adhered with foam dots. I then made three paper flowers using Marina Mist cardstock and for the base of the flowers, I punched out 3 Pear Pizzazz flowers to look like leaves. I used the Well Scripted stamp set to stamp the Birthday sentiment and backed the sentiment with Marina Mist cardstock and adhered with foam dots. To finish off the sentiment I adhered small pearls to the corners. Finally, I adhered a flower in each corner and two hearts on either side of the little Dutch girl. There you have my little Dutch girl.
If people find my blog wordy, please tell me and I can try to minimise my description.
