For this week Inkspiration Challenges sketch challenge, I decided to make a baby card. My inspiration came from Makeesha baby news, as well at the fact that my nephew’s wife is having a baby in April. Baby news is always exciting to hear. It seems like a lifetime ago when my children were babies, they are now almost 13 , 10, 9. For my card, I started with a base card made from Pear Pizzaz cardstock. I then added a layer of Square Lattice embossed Whisper White cardstock. Next came a strip of Elegant Eggplant Patterns DSP and then two strips of Whisper White cardstock that were stamped with the Spot On Jumbo roller and Pear Pizzaz ink. I then used the Ovals Die to cut out a series of Whisper White Ovals and Perfect Plum Ovals. On the medium Whisper White oval I stamped the sentiment ‘for baby’ from the Little Hellos (retired) stamp set. Using Pear Pizzaz ink, I stamped the turtle from the Fox and Friends stamp set and then trimmed around the Turtle. I adhered the turtle to the Whisper White oval using foam pads and then adhered it to the large Perfect Plum oval. To finish off the card, I adhered the ovals to the base card and then punched out 3 circles using the cropadile. I placed the circles in the top right corner. I like to use this technique when I have run out of matching brads.
