The other day Brenda Dean left a comment on my blog about one of my cards and a link to her Blog. Besides commenting on my card she also let me know about the challenges that she is currently running. I would like to thank her for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I decided I would make a card for her Clean & Simple Sunday Challenge. The current challenge is a Sketch challenge. I started with a base card made from Soft Suede cardstock. I then added a layer of Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and then another layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. I trimmed a piece of Elegant Soiree DSP and added it to the card, followed by a strip Soft Suede cardstock. I then cut out two ovals using the Sizzix Oval Die. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Well Scripted stamp set using Baja Breeze Ink. I adhered the stamped Very Vanilla to the Baja Breeze oval and then adhered it to the base card. I then punched out a series of Soft Suede flowers using the Itty Bitty Flower punch. For the centre of the flowers I punched out the smallest circle from the owl punch. I adhered the small circles to the centre of the flowers and adhered the flowers to the top of the base card. I then stamped a flower from the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set using Baja Breeze. I punched them out and adhered them to the sides of the Birthday sentiment.
Brenda I hope you like the card I made for your Challenge. I also hope your Challenges are a success and that you get many participants. Challenges are a fun way of learning.
