Clean and Simple have a new sketch this week. For this sketch I started with a base card made from Basic Black cardstock.  I then added a layer of Cherry Cobbler which I punched with the Scallop Trim Border punch.  I then added a layer of embossed Whisper White cardstock, that was embossed with the Swiss Dot embossing folder.  I then punched out three circles from the Love Letter DSP.  This was followed by a series of Black petals, using the slit punch.  I adhered the petals to the circles and then adhered the flowers to the base card using foam pads.  I finished off the card by mounting a greeting that was stamped from the Sincere Salutation stamp set.

Just Add Ink have a colour challenge this week.   For this Challenge I started with a base card made from Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I then stamped a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock, using the retired Organic Outlines stamp set.  I then embossed a piece of River rock cardstock with the Devine Swirl embossing folder and adhered it to the base card.  I followed this with a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock and then another piece of embossed River Rock cardstock.  I then used the Flower Fusion sizzlit die to cut out three sets of flowers, one in each of the colour from the challenge.  I then punched out 3 small hearts using the Heart to Heart Punch set and 3 circles using the 1/2 circle punch.  I then adhered the flowers to the card, altering the layers with different colours and finishing off with itty bitty buttons.  Next, I adhered the circles and hearts to the card and then finished off by stamping and mounting the Birthday sentiment from the Happy Moments stamp set.

Just Add Ink #43

Just Add Ink has a new theme challenge this week, Just Add Christmas.  I love to make Christmas Cards and for this challenge I made a card using one of my favourite stamp sets, Lovely as a Tree.  I have made this card once before, but I never got around to blogging it and it was such fun, so decided to make another one for this challenge.  I started with some Bordering Blue textured cardstock.  I trimmed and scored the card to make a stepcard base.  I then trimmed a piece of Whisper White cardstock to be 5mm smaller than the Bordering Blue cardstock.  Before scoring the Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the group of trees from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set into the middle of the card using Bordering Blue ink.  I then stamped 3 pine trees.  The two outer trees I used the rock and roll technique using Bordering Blue as the base and Old Olive for the outer.   For the centre tree I used Old Olive as the base and daubered Bordering Blue randomly on the image before stamping.  I then score the cardstock. Before adhered it to the base card, I trimmed around the top of the three pine trees so that they create a 3D affect.  With some scraps of Whisper White Cardstock, I created some snowdrifts.  On one I stamped the sentiment from the Contempo Christmas stamp set.  I then used the 2 way glue pen to adhere so Dazzling diamonds to the edge of the cutout snowdrift.  I finished off the card by using the 2 way glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds to the Pine Trees.

Just Add Ink has a new sketch challenge this week.  For this challenge I used the sketch to make a Christmas card for a swap friend who likes the colour orange.  I am not used to using this colour for Christmas Cards, but I think it turned out well.  I started with a base card made from Whisper White cardstock.  I then adhered a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I embossed with a Snowflake embossing folder.  I then trimmed a piece of Peach Parfait Cardstock  and a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  On the piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped Dasher from the Dasher stamp set using Peach Parfait ink.  I then used a sponge dauber to add a little Peach Parfait to the edges of the stamped cardstock.  I adhered the stamped cardstock to the Peach Parfait cardstock and then adhered to the embossed cardstock.  I  punched out an Ornament using the Ornament Punch and a  snowflake using the Boho Flower punch.  I adhered the snowflake to the ornament and then used the double rectangle punch to punch a hole in the centre.   I attached a striped orange ribbon to the embossed cardstock and inserted into the  punched holes of the ornament and tied a knot.  I then adhered the embossed cardstock to the base card and added the sentiment from the Best Yet stamp set.  To finished off, I added Dazzling Diamonds to the sentiment, the snowflakes from Dasher, the area under Dasher and to the snowflake on the ornament.

Stamps: Dasher, Best Yet, Delightful Decorations
Paper: Whisper White, Peach Parfait
Ink:  Peach Parfait
Accessories:   Ornament Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Double Rectangle Punch, Boho Flower Punch, Snowflake embossing folder, Striped Orange ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds

Clean and Simple have a new sketch this week. For this sketch I started with a base card made from Soft Suede cardstock. I then adhered a piece of Whisper White cardstock, followed by a piece of textured Red Cardstock. I stamped two Snowflakes, a Christmas sentiment and a Christmas Ornament from the Delightful Decorations stamp set using Soft Suede ink.  I punched out two of the snowflakes and the Merry Christmas sentiment using the Boho Flower Punch.  I then used the ornament punch to punch out the stamped ornament.  I then inserted red brads into the centre of the two snowflakes and the Merry Christmas sentiment.  I then adhered the punched out ornament, snowflakes and sentiment to the card using foam pads.  I then decided to make another card similar to the first but used a different ornament stamp from the Delightful Decoration stamp set and adhered a rhinestone in the centre of the punched out ornament.
