This week Stampin’ Royalty’s challenge is a theme Challenge, and the theme is stitching madness. For this challenge I made a base card using Cherry Cobbler cardstock that is 5″ x 5″. Using the Sizzix Scallop Circle die, I cut out a large scallop circle using Whisper White cardstock. I then used a paper piercer and paper piercing template , to pierce 5 holes in each scallop. I used 2 threads of DMC floss 221 to embroider the pierced holes and in the centre of each stitched diamond, I stitched a silver bead. Then with a piece of Old Olive cardstock, I cut out a series of leaves using the Sizzlits little leaves die. I cut the leaves and layered them to form a wreath, which I adhered onto the scallop circle. To finish off the wreath I placed 8 Cherry Cobbler flowers that had rhinestone in the centre around the wreath. I adhered the scallop circle to the centre of the card and then added punched corners of Whisper White Cardstock to the 4 corners of the card. I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment from the Contempo Christmas stampset and punching the sentiment out with the Scallop Oval Punch. I also added dazzling diamonds around the edge of scallop oval. I adhered the sentiment to the card with foam pads.
