Clean and Simple have a new sketch this week. For this sketch I started with a base card made from Poppy Parade cardstock. I then trimmed some pieces of Whisper White, Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I embossed the Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz with the Snowflake embossing folder. I then embossed the Poppy Parade strip with the Swiss Dot embossing folder. I adhered the Whisper White and Poppy Parade embossed cardstock to the base card and stamped the Christmas Tree from the Contempo Christmas stamp set using Pear Pizzazz Ink on to a strip of Whisper White Cardstock. I then adhered the two pear pizzazz strips to either side of the Christmas tree. I finished off the tree by adhering small green glass beads and rhinestones. The idea for the beads on the Christmas tree comes from Ros Davidson, who designed a Christmas card earlier in the week that I thought was stunning and I wanted to have ago at trying the beads myself. I then stamped one of the sentiments from the Contempo Christmas set using Pear Pizzazz ink, on to one of the tags from the Lots of Tags die. I then used a glue pen to adhered some Dazzling Diamonds around the outer edge of the tag and attached the tag to the card with foam pads. I finished off the card by punching some Pear Pizzazz snowflakes and randomly adhering them to the embossed snowflakes. I am not sure how much of this card is simple, but it was fun to make. I also hope that Ros does not mind that I used her idea for the beads as I thought it was a really great idea. If you have time you should visit her sight as she has lots of other great ideas.
