Just Add Ink Challenge this week is Just Add … Wheels. These wheels can be Stamp images, punches, Stampin-Around wheels – if it’s circular it fits the criteria! For this challenge I decided to make pinwheels. Pinwheels are such simple things and children enjoy immensely. I thought it would be nice idea for this challenge, since this challenge is for Hudson. I started with 4 pieces of various pink Pattern Pack II dsp that I trimmed to 4″ by 4″ inches. I then cut a 1 1/2″ diagonal line in each corner and then used the cropadile to punch a pole in the centre of the paper square and in one of the corners of each diagonal section. I bought to long sticks from Spotlight, which I trimmed in half to make 4 medium size stick. I then used a drawing pin to make a hole near the top portion of the 4 sticks. I then used a small brad to pass through the hole in the centre of the paper and into the hole in the stick. I then punched four flowers using the Spring Bouquet punch and punched a hole in the centre of these flowers using the cropadile. I then inserted a rhinestone brad into the centre of the flower and then each of the corners of the dsp to form a pinwheel. My daughter absolutely loves these and wants to give them to her friends for her birthday at the end of the month.
