Clean and Simple have a new sketch this week. Before I detail the card I have made, I would say that I really enjoy doing these Clean and Simple challenges. It has taught me a lot and it has also helped me build up my stash of cards :). I started with a base card made from Whisper White cardstock. I then adhered a piece of Basic Black cardstock which was slightly smaller than the base card. I followed this by embossing a piece of Whisper White with the Devine Swirl embossing folder, the cardstock that was slightly smaller than the Basic Black cardstock. Using some scrap Basic Black cardstock I punched one edge with the Scallop border punch. I then put the black cardstock through a paper crimper and trimmed to fit across the embossed Whisper White cardstock. I then adhered the border to the embossed cardstock. Using some scrap pieces of Whisper White, I stamped 2 flowers from the Looks Like Spring stamp set using Kiwi Kiss ink. I trimmed the flowers and put them to one side. I then punched the white daisy using the Spring Bouquet Punch. I joined the flowers together with the embossed Whisper White cardstock, using a Black patterned brad from Kaiser. I finished off the card by stamping the Birthday Sentiment from the Sincere Salutation stamp set on to a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Kiwi Kiss ink. I then trimmed a piece of Kiwi Kiss cardstock to adhere behind the sentiment and attach to the card.
