Yesterday I came across a website called Sir Stampalot Challenge . At Sir Stampalot Challenge, they run a new challenge the 1st day of each month. For the month of May they have chosen Butterflies and Blossoms for their challenge. I absolutely love butterflies and could not resist in participating in this Challenge. For this challenge I decided to make a Top Note Purse using Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White cardstock as well as Cottage Wall DSP. I used the instructions that I found on Julie Buhler’s website to make the purse. But since I do not have the Scallop Die Circle to make the flap for the purse, I used the Fiskars Oval template to draw a large oval. I cut out the large oval, which I then embossed using the Devine Swirl embossing folder. I used the Eyelet Border Punch with a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock to make a border for the embossed Oval. I then scored two lines on the embossed oval so that I could make the flaps for the purse. Before adhering the back flap to the purse, I punched two holes in to the top of the flap and I used some Rich Razzleberry spotted Grosgrain ribbon to make the handle. To finish of the purse I punch two large butterflies and two small butterflies. The two large butterflies I embossed using the Victoria embossing folder and with the white butterfly I trimmed it with scissors so that it was slightly smaller than the Rich Razzleberry butterfly. I adhered the white butterfly to the centre of the Rich Razzleberry butterfly and then adhered the butterflies to the purse. I sealed the purse using velcro dots.
