At Dutch Dare Card Challenge they have a Challenge for this fortnight which is to create a gable box. You can download a pattern here. For this challenge I printed the template on an A4 piece of Whisper White cardstock. I then cut out the template and scored along the dotted lines. I put the template through the Cuttlebug using the Victoria embossing folder. I then used a Scallop Border punch, to punch some Night of Navy cardstock so that I could make the tiles for the roof of my little house. I adhered the roof tiles to the box and trimmed off the excess. I cut two pieces of scrap Night of Navy cardstock and trimmed it to fit around the triangles on the sides of the box, at the top and adhered it. I then adhered the tabs and joined the box together. I trimmed some more Night of Navy cardstock so that I could make the windows and the door. For the door handle I punch a small circle using the cropadile and used a white Gel pen for the windows on the front and sides of the house. A few weeks ago I made a Birthday Card using the Good Neighbours stamp set and I think that this box goes nicely with it.
