The girls from Double Dutch have a sketch challenge this week, they are asking for a card or creation using the circle sketch template shown above! I decided to keep my colours simple for this sketch. I started with a base card of Whisper White that is larger than a standard square card. The card is 16cm by 16cm. I then used a piece of Bashful Blue Cardstock and cut out a 15cm circle using the Scissor Circle Plus. I embossed the circle using the Devine Swirl embossing folder. I also embossed the front of the base Whisper White card using the Snowflakes embossing folder. I then cut strips of Whisper White Card and 1 strip of Bashful Blue. The Whisper White I embossed with the snowflake embossing folder and the Bashful Blue with the Devine swirl. I adhered the strips using the layout above to embossed circle. I then stamped the snowman from the Stitched Snowman SU stamp set. I got this stamp set from my friend Nancy, in America. I used my aqua pen to colour the snowman using , Baja Breeze, Summer Sun, Always Artichoke, Pale Plum, Chocolate Chip, Only Orange, and Pretty in Pink. I then stamped snowflakes in the upper corners of the stamped snowman using a stamp from the Snow Flurries stampset. I then stamped the greeting from the Stitched Snowman and lightly stamped snowflake over the greeting. I adhered the image and the greeting to the circle and then adhered the circle to the embossed Whisper White card base. I have turned the sketch on it side. I trimmed the corners of the card and used gold corner stickers on the inside of the card. I then randomly placed a few rhinestones and there you have my take on the sketch above.
