Stampamemory has a new Challenge this week, they are asking for a layout that represents what you are grateful for. I am grateful for many things in my life, but one thing I really find special is the simple joys I can have with my children. I get great enjoyment watching my children blow bubbles. It’s so surprising how much joy and wonder a little bit of soapy water can bring to this world. With my scrapbook page, I chose to start with some Washington Apple DSP. The flowers remind me of bursting bubbles in funny kind of way. I then layered on a pieces of Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and the main photo of Deanna blowing a large bubble, while Erik was looking on. I then printed out some smaller photos of the children blowing bubbles and used the scissor circle plus to cut them out as 5″ circles. I then used small pieces of summer sun and pumpkin pie to make 6″ circles to back the 5″ photos. I then punched three 1 1/4″ circles out of Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie and five 1/2″ circles. I placed the larger circles randomly on the page and the 1/2″ circles in the centre of some of the larger flowers . Using Whisper White card stock, I punched six 1 1/4″ circles to use as background for the title. For the title I cut out some letters by hand using Baja Breeze. I then printed my journal comment on some whisper white cardstock. I wrote “There is no better moment than enjoying the simple things in life. Like my children blowing bubbles and watching them float away. There’s no goal to be achieved, no right or wrong way. It’s just a moment of happiness as they watch them float away.” I trimmed the wording and backed it with Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie and placed it in the upper right hand corner.
