Clean and Simple Stamping have a new sketch this week. I decided to use the sketch to make a card for my boss. His son’s wife had a baby yesterday and I thought I would a make card to congratulate his family on the new arrival. With the card, I started with Baja Breeze cardstock for the base of the card. I then used a piece of Whisper White card stock, that I embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder and used the SU Scallop Border punch to punch one of the edges. I adhered a light blue double stitch ribbon to the whisper White cardstock. I used Baja Breeze ink to stamp the Giraffe from the Wild About You stamp set, which I then cut out and adhered the to the Whisper White cardstock. I decided to use one of the sentiments from the Best Yet Hostess set, but when I went to stamp the wording, using Night of Navy, I accidently partially stamped the wording . 😦 I improvised by stamping the greeting on Whisper White and then punched it out using the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. I used the circle sentiment to cover up my partial stamp. I think it looks okay.
