This is the first time that I have attempted one of the Inkspiration Challenges. I have often visited Makeesha’s site, but I have never participated in any of her Challenges before. Today I decided to give one of her Challenges a go. I started with a base card make from Pink Pirouette. I then cut some real red cardstock to make a curly label, flowers, eyelet border and the card for the backing of the whisper white cardstock that I embossed using the Swiss Dot cuttlebug folder. With the embossed card I punched each edge with the scallop border punch. I also used the Whisper White cardstock to punch out a curly label, a daisy and I used the eyelet border punch to make a border for the lower section of the card. I adhered the Real Red border and Whisper White border to the card. I then adhered the real red curly label behind the Whisper White curly label and I cut them in half. I then stamped the Happy Birthday greeting from the Saleabration set Happy Moments in Riding Hood Red. I punched a scallop circle from some Candy Lane scrap DSP, that I had. I then cut the scallop every second scallop. Once all the cuts were made, I then rubbed in a circular motion around the scallop circle with the blunt end of a pencil. This helps raise the petals up. With the cropadile I punch through the centre of the real red scallop, the candy lane dsp scallop and white daisy and then place a white brad in the centre to hold them together. I adhered the flower and the red ribbon (with grommet attached), to the embossed Whisper White paper and then placed the real red cardstock behind that. I then attached the half curly label behind that, and adhered it all to the Pink Pirouette Card. I finished off by attaching the 3 flowers that I had punched out from Real Red cardstock, with white brads.
