This week Stampin Royalty are kicking things off with an Inspiration Challenge. They used a photo that most Stampin’ Up followers will recognize. This challenge reminded me of my Party Hearty Set, which I have. Maybe it’s because of the 5 hats. I started with Chocolate Chip cardstock for the base card. I then took a piece of Whisper White card stock that was 1/2 cm smaller than the front of the card, all the way round. I then placed the Whisper White cardstock into the Swiss Dot Embossing folder and cut a length of Old Olive 5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon. I then punched five 1″ circles using scraps of Night of Navy, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Red Riding Hood, Summer Sun. Using the Heart to Heart punch, I punched 5 small hearts out of the same cardstock as well as 2 hearts out of the Chocolate chip. I then stamped the party hats from the Party Hearty Stamp set and the Birthday Wishes from Sincere Salutations set, using the Chocolate Chip stamp pad. The party hats were then cut out by hand and the Birthday Wishes punched using the large Oval Scallop punch. I then punched a piece of pumpkin pie cardstock with the scallop oval punch. I then used double side tape to adhere the tied old olive ribbon to the swiss dot embossed Whisper white paper. I then adhered the party hats to the different coloured circles and randomly adhered them to the Whisper White cardstock. I then placed the tiny heart on and finished off with the Birthday wishes greeting which I raised using foam pads.
