Stamp a Memory has a new Challenge this week. They are looking for a layout in Black and White plus one other colour of your choice. The prize will be a Black and White Pack containing, Black Stazon Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink and a Uniball White Gel pen. For this Challenge I used a photo of my son Erik playing cricket in the backyard. I started with the original photo and used Photoshop to apply a background layer to the original photo that I then converted to black and white. I then used the eraser that made the colour of the ball come out from the original photo and then I merged the images and printed. Once I printed the Erik’s photo, 1 large and 2 small. I had to decide what black, white and red layout would go with the picture. I decided to go for a cricket theme and I used the ScissorCircle Plus to cut a red circle using some Red Riding Hood cardstock and used a white gel pen to make it look like a cricket ball. I then cut some black cardstock to use as background and to make the cricket stumps and bails and punched out some small stars and curly labels. With the Whisper White cardstock I stamped some of the words from the new Saleabration set, Whimsical Words and punched them out using the curly label punch. After some repositioning I came up with how I wanted the layout to look. Here is the final result.
